Minus the years I served in the US Army, I have always been owned by a dog(s). We currently have 3 pets: Gunther a six year old Rottweiler that believes he is a lap dog with a hippie personality; Ruckus is a rescued lab mix puppy about 8 months old and FULL of energy, & Sybil, our cat, 9 years old.

I previously did volunteer work at a pet rescue in Atlanta. Which was very rewarding to help/mend mistreated dogs and turn them into family pets. We are very understanding and respect the owner's way of how they want their dogs to be cared for. We live in a quiet neighborhood with a large fenced in yard for playtime and running, and a nearby park. I also love to walk, so if your dog is up up for it, I would love to have an additional walking mate.

Your pets deserve and will get special attention. Someone is always home, so your pet will never be lonely. Heading to Philly for a day? No need to worry about your pet being left alone. Drop them off for a fun day or overnight with us. Close to Claymont Septa, I95, 495

I will only host dogs from one family at a time. Would also like information/proof about your dogs shots and vaccines. (in order to protect my dogs, and future clients pets. Thanks

ChocoLate Coffee

ChocoLaté Coffee is located in the city of Decatur is four square miles of hometown hipness with 18,000 residents inside Atlanta’s I-285 perimeter highway. Ponce de Leon Avenue is our main street, connecting us to the city of Atlanta, just six miles to the west, and to historic Stone Mountain, just six miles to the east. A quintessential college town, we have Agnes Scott College, Columbia Theological Seminary within our city limits Branches of the Art Institute of Atlanta and DeVry University bring hundreds of commuting students, faculty and staff to our downtown square. Emory University is close by with a free shuttle carrying students and residents between campus and downtown Decatur. And with more than 200 mostly independent shops, restaurants, galleries, salons and other service businesses, Decatur draws students, office workers, residents and visitors who love to "shop local" in our walkable tree-shaded downtown.

ChocoLaté Coffee is located in a strip mall on the corner of Clairmont Rd & and N. Decatur. A relaxing atmosphere. Mellow music playing in the background.

Yelp reviews:  It has a very artsy, homemade vibe to it... you know, chalkboard paint on the walls, mismatched tables and chairs, light fixtures hanging at various lengths.
.....Overall, it is a really chill atmosphere to sit down with friends or solitaire to do some work.
......There is plenty of parking in this lot that is shared with Publix and some other businesses.  However, because of all the businesses, it can be a bit tricky to get out of there depending on where you park.
......My official new coffee hangout spot because, aside from being an independently owned and operated small business, the coffee, chai tea lattes and array of freshly made cookies, brownies and biscotti are just really frickon good!

Java Monkey

Relaxed coffeehouse with indoor & outdoor seating, plus simple cafe fare & frequent entertainment.

Decatur is a city in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. It is an intown suburb of Atlanta and part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, and its public transportation is served by three MARTA rail stations. Decatur's official motto is "A city of homes, schools and places of worship."  Prior to 2000, this motto was "A city of homes, schools, and churches." Residents frequently refer to the unofficial motto of the town, "Everything is greater in Decatur."

We arrived at 11:29 AM on a sunny Monday. Upon entering Java Monkey, it was inviting and a chill atmosphere. Seating is plentiful, tables, bar stools, and overstuffed comfy chairs. The barista was friendly. We ordered 2 mochas. While the coffee was being made, we soaked up the atmosphere.  Artwork,  a very nice collection of wines. Seems like a good place to hang out with a friend or a date. Especially, the cozy courtyard, to people watch, and soak up the fresh air.

My biggest disappointment was parking in downtown Decatur. Only options I observed were metered parking or a parking garage.  We opted for the parking garage. ($5.00 flat fee)

Aurora Coffee

Aurora Coffee is located in a unique area of Atlanta, known as Little Five points. Little Five Points is a district on the east side of Atlanta, Georgia, United States, 2 1⁄2 miles of downtown. It was established in the early 1900s as the commercial district for the adjacent Inman Park and Candler Park neighborhoods and has since become famous for the alternative culture it brings to Atlanta. It has been described as Atlanta's answer to Haight-Ashbury, a melting pot of subcultures, and the Bohemian center of the Southern United States. Words I use to describe the area Hipsters paradise, Bohemian and Artsy.

Entering from the side of the building you're greeted by a large wall mural.  A few seconds after looking at the menu board, the barista asked what I would like. I told him I wanted something different, my usual is a latte or mocha. He asked me a few more questions than suggested a Chai Thai.

The cool thing, besides being located in Little Five points, it is located next to a skateboard shop. People watching paradise for me. Lots of foot traffic, music was playing in the background, but not overpowering. But overall very calming.  I can assume this is home to many regulars, the barista knew many people by name.

A few of the patrons, never looked up from their Apple laptops, a few actually mingled and enjoyed the atmosphere.  There is also a large wooden patio on the side of the building. (not sure where the pic went, lol) Below is a large mural on the side of the building.
